The document stipulates that by 2027, a regulatory system aligned with pharmaceutical innovation and industrial development will be in place, with review and approval resources increasingly tilted toward key innovative drugs that are urgently needed in clinical practice. Throughout the entire process—from clinical trials to registration applications—regulatory authorities will enhance communication and collaboration with pharmaceutical companies and provide tailored guidance. This policy has greatly boosted the confidence of innovative drug developers. For instance, Hengrui Medicine has achieved a major breakthrough in its Phase III clinical trial for adjuvant treatment of HR-positive/HER2-negative breast cancer, demonstrating that its independently developed darolutamide hydrochloride tablets, when used in combination with endocrine therapy, significantly reduce the risk of disease recurrence. With policy support combined with corporate innovation, it is expected that more innovative drugs will be brought to market at an accelerated pace, offering patients a wider range of therapeutic options.
